vRealize Automation uses agents to integrate with external systems. The following types of agents are available:
Each agent is installed in its own directory, under the vRealize Automation installation directory, i.e, Program Files(x86)\VMware\vCAC.
- Hypervisor proxy agents
- Integration agents
- External provisioning infrastructure: External Provisioning Infrastructure (EPI) integration agents are used to integrate with the Citrix. EPI integration agents are also used to specify Visual Basic scripts in a provisioning process.
- Virtual desktop infrastructure: Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) integration agents are used to register provisioned virtual machines with the VDI connection broker.
- Windows Management Instrumentation: Windows Management Instrumentation agents are used to collect data from a Windows system that is managed by vRealize Automation.
Each agent is installed in its own directory, under the vRealize Automation installation directory, i.e, Program Files(x86)\VMware\vCAC.
The configuration is stored in the VRMAgent.exe.config file in that directory.
